What happens if my ticket/card is lost or stolen?

  • Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail annual and monthly Leapcards which are lost or stolen can be replaced as follows;
    Customer logs into their account on to www.leapcard.ie , selecting the “Refund or Replace“ option, following the instructions to get a replacement card. (Allow 4-5 working days for replacement)

    ***Note Customers can avail of a temporary ticket for travel whilst waiting on their replacement ticket by calling into the Taxsaver office, Connolly Station (Black door, corner of Amien St and Sherriff St) along with a letter on company headed paper and a €15 fee.
  • Bus Éireann Leap Cards can be replaced by logging into your Leap Card Account at www.leapcard.ie. Please select the “Refund or Replace“ option, then follow the instructions to get a replacement. Make sure to choose the “Replace“ option. Do not select the refund option. Click here for more details. Please confirm with Leap the length of time before they will replace your ticket.

    For lost/stolen point to points, please e-mail in the details to taxsaver@buseireann.ie.
  • Dublin City Bus and Dublin City Bus & Luas Taxsaver Leapcards:To request a replacement for a lost /stolen Leapcard, log in to your Leapcard account, select the “Refund or Replace“ option, then follow the instructions to get a replacement. Make sure to choose the “Replace“ option. Do not select the refund option. Please allow 4 – 5 working days for replacement to be issued.

    It is recommended that all employees register their leapcard at leapcard.ie.
