Important Notice: Issue with Collection of Multimodal Taxsaver Products

We are aware of an issue affecting some customers’ ability to collect their monthly and annual Taxsaver tickets.

We are actively working with Dublin Bus, Luas, Go-Ahead, Bus Éireann, and the National Transport Authority to resolve this as a matter of urgency.

At present the issue is impacting ticket collection across all channels including:

  • Rail and Luas station poles/validators
  • The Leap Card Top-up app
  • Post Point agents

Temporary Travel Arrangements

Customers who hold a valid monthly or annual multimodal Taxsaver ticket can continue to travel on the following services until the issue is resolved:

  • Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail
  • Dublin City Bus (Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead)
  • Luas
  • Applicable Bus Éireann & Go-Ahead Dublin commuter services

A “flash pass” means showing your Leap Card to the driver or staff as proof of your valid Taxsaver ticket.

  • On buses, customers should present their Leap Card to the driver and mention that it is a Taxsaver ticket. The driver will then allow them to board without validation.
  • On Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail  and Luas services, customers may be asked to show their Leap Card as proof of a valid Taxsaver ticket.

Please ensure you carry proof of your valid Taxsaver ticket (e.g., your Taxsaver Leapcard) when travelling.

We kindly ask that you share this update with all employees in your company who avail of Taxsaver tickets. We will provide further updates and confirm once the issue has been resolved.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
